New KS4 / KS5 RSE Unit of 14 lessons (16 hours of content). These lessons were created specifically for KS4 / KS5 to fit with the newly released DfE guidelines for Relationships and Sex Education in UK schools, set to become statutory 2020. They are intended as a continuation of my KS3 Unit, available here: but can be taught without this and all work as standalone lessons.

2) Good Sex - How can we have good, safe sex and is it best to wait for someone you care about?
Same Sex RelationshipsWhy do some people have same sex relationships, what’s it like to be in one and what challenges do couples face?
Break - Ups Why do these feel like the end of the world - and are they really?
Gender, Sex and Trans Identity What do these terms mean and why is it important we study them?
Revenge Porn - why is this on the increase, how can we prevent it and what are the legal consequences?
7) Safe Sex and Chem Sex - an investigation into the less obvious things that make sex safe and the emerging and dangerous trend of chem sex.
8) LGBT+ (focusing on the +) non-traditional relationships, asexuality and creating an inclusive school.
9) Parenting - what’s it like being a new parent? What are the different styles of parenting? How do you look after a new baby?**
10) Coercive and Controlling relationships- what are these, how are they abusive? What are the red flags and where can you go for help?
11) Sex and the media - how do media representations of sex affect us?
12) Sex, hormones and emotions - how can one night stands affect our emotions? How do we know when to take a relationship a step further?
13) Online dating safety - how can we stay safe when using online dating apps? How damaging is hook-up culture?
14) Sexual harassmentA brand new lesson which details what we mean by sexual harassment, what constitutes as sexual harassment in the eyes of the law (UK), the different forms this can take and how this can be reported correctly.

Perfect for meeting the new PSHE Statutory guidelines, this pack has been created from the popular EC Resources PSHE lessons to match one of the new PSHE Association optional frameworks - the ‘Thematic Framework’ from their model programme builder. A 25 minute Tutor Time session created especially for LGBT+ Month (Feb 2019). This is the fourth of six sessions to be used throughout LGBT+ month, each focusing on and exploring the culture and history of a different aspect of the LGBTQAI community, from Lesbians (L) to Intersex (I).
The session contains three challenge learning outcomes, slides of easy to digest information, a clip task with differentiated questions and final reflection task. The session is editable and been created to be perfect to just pick up and use.

The assemblies focus on the work MACS do to help and support young people. One of the assemblies is to raise awareness of the work MACS does and the other is for schools interested in fundraising for the charity. These are especially useful for schools teaching topics on prejudice and discrimination and also schools with a child who uses MACS' services.

Easy to use DIRT feedback and evidencing progression sheet which uses Bloom’s matched to the new 9-1 GCSE gradings. Can be used for any KS3 or KS4 subject. It’s really quick for marking.
To use -
Highlight the skill they’ve used, e.g ‘you have explained the meaning of key phrases such as ……’
Highlight what they could do next to improve, e.g ‘evaluate (judge and assess) the most important reasons.’
Highlight their ‘do it now’ task, such as 'Write a detailed conclusion evaluating (add in subject), considering (add in item) and weighing up the pros and cons of each, reaching a conclusion, with exceptional SPAG.
On the same page their is a green-shaded box for them to demonstrate immediate progress through the ‘do it now’ task. They can then stick it in their books and you can return to see it or show it as evidence any time!
This works for any subject which involves any sort of assessed writing tasks. It has literally saved me weeks worth of time over the years.

The lesson, created by MACS Charity with EC Resources, allows students to investigate the benefits to society of the 2010 Equality Act by studying cases of discrimination in schools, workplaces and the wider world.
